We reviewed Workbook Activity 23 and completed Workbook Activity 25 and 26 in class (most of the answers will be found in Chapter 5.4
Workbook Activity 23 Information:
This assignment talkeddifferet about the duties a President might perform.
Commander in Chief- refers to the military duties and jobs.
Chief Diplomat- refers to working with other countries and their representatives.
Chief Legislator- refers to making laws in general
Political Leader: refers to the politics and the political party
World Leader: refers to the things the president will do with around the world with foreign countries.
Workbook Activity 25 Information:
For this crossword puzzle, it will be about the President and his assistants or helpers. Some of them might be hard to find, but try your best.
Workbook Activity 26 Information:
This worksheet is about the people who help and assist the President. Look at the bold headings in chapter 5.4 to help you out with this activity.

Making Paper Cranes
This week we'll be having some class time to make some paper cranes to thank the supporters of the fund-raiser. 1000+ cranes is the goal.
Ms. Wong brought some paper to class, you are welcome to bring your own paper.
Post-Marathon
Dear Students,
I'm so proud of you for running in the Los Angeles Marathon even despite the rain and wind!
It was probably more difficult with the weather conditions, but I'm glad that some of you made it to the finish line!
I'm also excited to hear that some of you guys would like to try it again next year and complete it. That inspires me to run maybe a 5k or a half-marathon. (You must remember that Ms. Wong is not a very good runner, but would gladly ice-skate that distance).
I was at the 2-mile mark with my cowbell, wearing my Hello Kitty hat, standing under the bus stop area, in front of the Burger King.
Journal Writing Assignment if you were absent and still recovering:
-How was your marathon experience? What was it like?
-Did you see any interesting dressed people or sights?
-Did the rainy weather make it extremely difficult?
-Did you see Ms. Wong and hear her cowbell?
-What did you do after the marathon?

Can you believe it's March???
Wow! How time flies! We are now officially in March! Finals were barely a month ago!
With that said, that means the end of the school year and graduation is quickly approaching! Time to "step into high gear"! We have a lot of things to cover, so this blog site is dedicated to posting information so that you do not miss too much if you are sick.
Try to stay on top of your homework and your studies! I can't slow down too much otherwise, I won't be able to finish teaching what I'm supposed to teach you!
Remember, if you have questions, PLEASE ASK!!! Don't feel embarrassed or scared! You can always e-mail me or leave a note for me. If you don't ask, I'll assume that you understand and that I can move on to the next section.
